Over 400,000 KM allocated for 'Start-up Support' for returnees

(Patria) - In the Grand Hall of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić signed and handed over contracts for 75 returnees with higher education for internship and 46 business entities in returnee areas that are in the initial phase of business.

These programs of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, with a total value of 750,000 KM, are implemented with the aim of employing returnees, especially young educated personnel, based on a public call issued by this ministry.

The program of assistance in performing internship through work without establishing an employment relationship for returnees with higher education is intended for the employment of young educated personnel, where through their professional training, i.e., preparation for the labor market, it directly affects their sustainable return/stay in the places of return. This program is worth 350,000 KM.

The program "Support for start-up (initial business) of returnees" is implemented with the aim of increasing the degree of sustainability, development and strengthening of initial businesses of returnees, and thus encouraging self-employment/employment of returnees.

This year, more than 400,000 KM has been allocated for contracts.

The interns are returnees from 25 municipalities across BiH and will be engaged with 28 employers, while 46 returnees from 19 municipalities have start-up businesses.
