380 marriages concluded in Ilidža municipality in eight months

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Couples who defied the situation still went ahead with their wedding plans and adapted their dream day to the coronavirus pandemic. Although social contacts in open or closed spaces were forbidden, lovers who wanted to say the fateful YES did not even think of canceling their wedding. Registrars of the Municipality of Ilidža had their hands full. From February to the end of September 2020, 380 couples were married in the Municipality of Ilidža.

All necessary forms for conducting weddings in the Municipality of Ilidža are free of charge and available both on the website and at the Municipality's Info Desk. Weddings are free on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the official premises of the municipality. The act of concluding a marriage can also be performed outside the official premises of the Municipality. When the conclusion of a marriage is approved outside the official municipal premises, in places such as hotels, restaurants, future spouses are obliged to pay a fee, in the amount of 400.00 KM. Concluding a marriage in such cases is performed every day between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Owners of catering facilities are obliged to provide a suitable room with appropriate conditions for the solemn act of concluding a marriage. Future spouses who wish to conclude a marriage on days that are not determined by a special act of the Municipal Mayor as days on which marriages are concluded in the official municipal premises, i.e., Wednesdays and Saturdays, can request it exclusively on working days between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM upon payment of a fee in the amount of 100 KM.
