For Germany and the West, threats to the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of BiH are completely unacceptable

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke in Berlin with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock about the relations between the two countries, and the current security and political situation in BiH and the region.

Bećirović informed Minister Baerbock in detail about the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional activities of the leaders of the BiH entity of Rs, and pointed out the importance of strong cooperation between the international community and domestic authorities in stopping separatist policies.

He particularly pointed out the danger of unauthorized interference by Serbia in the internal affairs of the sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The holding of the "all-Serbian assembly" by Serbia and Rs is the most serious attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement from 1995 to date. The holding of this assembly is an attack on international law and the fundamental values on which the European Union is based.

During a substantive and open conversation, Bećirović thanked Germany for its strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

He emphasized that Germany is one of the main advocates of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path, which it has proven many times, including during the decision to open accession negotiations for Bosnia and Herzegovina with the EU.

Minister Baerbock confirmed Germany's unequivocal support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to full membership in the EU and NATO.

Threats to the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina are completely unacceptable for Germany and the West.

Also, Minister Berbock stated that the gathering in Belgrade on June 8 is worrying and that such activity does not have the support of Germany and the West.

Bećirović emphasized that Germany, as the largest economic power in the EU, is also the most important foreign trade partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Furthermore, the importance of the diaspora as an indispensable factor in strengthening friendly ties and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany was highlighted.
