For Youth: Free Foreign Language Education

There should be no saving when it comes to acquiring knowledge, because knowledge pays off manifold. In today's time of hardship, due to the inability to afford additional education, many of our fellow citizens give up on this type of education and self-improvement, reports the Patria News Agency. 

Taking into account the fact that the future of our entire community depends on the resources offered by young people, the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo wants to create an environment that will enable a quality life for this population.

One of the priorities of the municipal Strategy for Youth for the period 2014-2020 is the improvement of formal education and support for informal education programs. Given that knowledge of foreign languages is one of the basic conditions for employment and gaining competitiveness in the labor market, the Municipality of Centar has provided 36 free lessons in English and German for its 80 young citizens.

Accredited lecturers from the School of Foreign Languages "Poliglot" will educate the participants twice a week in the premises of the local communities of the Municipality of Centar. All participants will receive appropriate certificates after one training module, i.e., 36 lessons. The Municipality of Centar Sarajevo has allocated 6,000 marks from the 2015 budget for this purpose.

All young people aged 15 to 30, from the area of the Municipality of Centar, are eligible to apply, with priority given to unemployed young people.

All interested parties can apply at the premises of the Municipality of Centar (Mis Irbina 1, 3rd floor, room 333) no later than November 15, 2015, it was announced from the Municipality of Centar.
