200 copies of Kenan Trebinčević's book "Bosnian List" sold in a month

The book „Bosnian List - A Memory of War, Exile and Return“ by authors Kenan Trebinčević and Susan Shapiro has sparked great interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well, with about 200 copies sold from the end of July until today, confirmed Ajdin Šahinpašić, director of TDK „Šahinpašić“ for the Bosnian news agency Patria. The first translated edition was printed in 1,500 copies, and it can be purchased at a price of 22 BAM. 

We remind that Kenan Trebinčević is a refugee from Brčko, and the war events and everything that happened to him as a 12-year-old boy and his family are described in the book, which quickly became one of the best-selling books in the USA, where Trebinčević now lives. It was published at the end of February, and according to Oprah Winfrey's selection, it was declared the book of the week.

- The book has attracted the attention of world media, and we are planning a promotion for April next year, because the author, due to obligations to his American publisher and a tour of the USA, cannot come to Bosnia and Herzegovina earlier – said Šahinpašić.

Trebinčević is now 33 years old, and he returned to Brčko to fulfill his father's wish to come back to his hometown. After returning to New York, in collaboration with his mentor Susan Shapiro, he began writing the book, Patria reports.
