Nearly 2,000 participants already registered for the Peace March Nezuk - Potočari, registration possible until July 5

(Patria) - Registrations are underway for this year's Peace March, with applications possible until July 5. The Peace March takes place from July 8 to 10, with participants covering three stages totaling nearly 100 kilometers. The column departs on July 8 from Nezuk (Sapna Municipality) and ends on July 10 in the late afternoon hours as participants enter the Potočari Memorial Center in Srebrenica. Only registered participants can take part in this year's Peace March.

The Organizing Committee for marking the 31st anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in the UN Safe Area of Srebrenica from July 1995 announced in early June that 1,600 people had already registered for the Peace March.

Although the list of victims to be buried on July 11 at the Potočari cemetery has not yet been finalized, eight families have so far given consent for burial. Another 37 victims have been identified, but families have not yet found the strength to give consent for burial due to incomplete remains.

This year as well, before the funeral prayer and burial, a commemoration will be held, attended by numerous delegations from around the world.

Along the route of the Peace March, locations are already being visited and preparations are being made to ensure everything goes smoothly.

In addition to participants of the Peace March, each anniversary of the genocide brings motor marathon participants, cycling marathon participants, marathon runners, and others to Srebrenica.
