Five offers received for the construction of the Vranduk Hydropower Plant

Five bidders submitted final offers in response to the Public International Call by JP Elektroprivreda BiH for the construction of the Vranduk Hydropower Plant, it was announced by JP Elektroprivreda BiH, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The offers were submitted by:

1. Consortium - RIKO d.o.o. – Slovenia and "EURO ASFALT" d.o.o. Sarajevo, BiH
2. JV STRABAG AG / Končar inženjering za energetiku i transport, Lead Partner Strabag AG – Austria and Croatia
3. CENGİZ İNŞAAT SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. – Turkey
4. DONGFANG ELECTRIC CORPORATION LIMITED - China
5. Cooperativa Muratori & Cementisti - C.M.C. DI RAVENNA – Italy

The evaluation of the submitted offers, conducted by the Expert Team of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, is expected to be completed within the next 30 days.

Given that the Public International Call for the construction of the Vranduk Hydropower Plant is being implemented according to the procurement procedures of international financial institutions, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), which are financing the construction of the Hydropower Plant with 63.5 million euros, the evaluation report of all received offers with the proposal of the Expert Team of JP Elektroprivreda BiH for the acceptance of the offer deemed most favorable, will be submitted for approval to the creditor banks (EBRD, EIB).

The Public International Call for the construction of the Vranduk Hydropower Plant pertains to the preparation of project documentation (main and detailed design), production, delivery and assembly of equipment, execution of construction works, plant testing and commissioning.

The Vranduk Hydropower Plant is planned as a run-of-river facility of the diversion type with multiple structures that will functionally represent a single unit. The total capacity of the Vranduk Hydropower Plant will be approximately 20 MW, while the projected annual production is 96.38 GWh.
