EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation Presented to Institutions from ZDC

(Patria) - Organised by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, a presentation of the "European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI)" was held today at the seat of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC).

The aim of the presentation was to familiarise institutions from the ZDC area - as potential beneficiaries - with the specifics of the EaSI Programme, the application procedure, as well as the possibilities of drawing funds from European Union sources for financing projects within this programme.



The event was attended by the Minister of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees of ZDC, Antonio Šimunović, with associates, representatives of cantonal ministries, the Employment Service of ZDC, the Chamber of Commerce of ZDC, social welfare centres, the Centre for Children and Adults with Special Needs of ZDC, the Regional Development Agency REZ, as well as other relevant institutions and organisations.

In his address, Šimunović thanked the representatives of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH for coming and emphasised the importance of such events for strengthening cooperation and informing local institutions about available European programmes.

He stressed that the EaSI Programme represents a significant opportunity for the development and improvement of services in the field of employment and social policy in the canton.

- The Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees of ZDC will continue to actively work on connecting local institutions with relevant European Union programmes in order to secure additional opportunities for improving social inclusion and the labour market in ZDC - Šimunović stated.
