Around 20,000 people visited the City Hall in two weeks

The building of the renovated Sarajevo City Hall has been visited by around 20,000 citizens and tourists since July 17, when it was opened to the public, writes the BH News Agency Patria. Free admission attracted a large number of curious citizens who wanted to see the splendor of the renovated building.

However, from August 1, according to the decision of the City Administration, the entrance to this beautiful facility should start being charged, and as previously announced, new contents will be offered in the City Hall. The ticket price is not yet known. On Friday, August 1, the exhibition "Sarajevo City Hall, Revisited" will be opened.

Otherwise, at the end of May, the City Administration again requested the Council of Ministers of BiH to make a decision on the right to use and manage the City Hall building, i.e., the transfer of rights from the National and University Library to the City of Sarajevo.

The Ministry of Justice responded that the Council of Ministers of BiH has already acted within its competencies, regarding the realization of the City Hall Renovation Project in Sarajevo and the transfer of rights of disposal over the City Hall building in Sarajevo from the National and University Library of BiH to the City of Sarajevo, by adopting the Information on the realization of the City Hall Renovation Project in Sarajevo.

On the other hand, the National and University Library of BiH is of the opinion that the Council of Ministers of BiH can change the holder of the right to use the City Hall facility, and they will respect the decision that is made.

Although a decision on the transfer of rights from the NUL to the City of Sarajevo has not been made, the city leaders did not include the NUL in the organization of the City Hall opening on May 9, the Vienna Philharmonic concert on June 28, nor the welcome of the first citizens who came to see the City Hall in its full glory on July 17, writes Patria.
