For children aged 6 to 14: iMTM invites to audition for the musical Annie

After three hit productions of the musicals ”Grease”, ”Footloose” and ”Dirty Dancing”, the Institute for Music, Theatre and Multimedia (iMTM) in cooperation with the Youth Theatre and McCann Sarajevo agency, is preparing a children's musical production ”Annie”, which will premiere in 2016, reports the Patria News Agency.

On this occasion, iMTM is announcing an audition for the musical theatre school ”Annie”, which will educate children for the mentioned musical through acting, singing and dancing sections in the coming months.

For the first audition, which will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 1 PM at the iMTM premises at Ćumurija street 6, first floor, candidates need to prepare one song and a recitation. All children aged 6-14 who love singing, dancing and acting, and who preferably already have previous stage experience, can apply.

The best candidates selected for the main roles will be offered scholarships in the form of free education at iMTM, and the dance-singing-acting ensemble of the musical Annie will consist of all children who enroll in the musical theatre school ”Annie”, who will continue to perform in the musical after the premiere, which will be on the regular repertoire of the Youth Theatre.

In addition to children, the cast of the musical also includes professional actors from the Youth Theatre.

Past participants of the Institute's schools have participated in professional theatre productions over the past four years, including the musicals ”DJ Šampinjon - Vrh svijeta”, ”Grease”, ”Footloose” and ”Dirty Dancing”.
