180,000 KM for Four National Cultural Societies of BiH

Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Zora Dujmović, today signed Financing Agreements with representatives of four national cultural societies of BiH at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, reports the Patria News Agency.

On behalf of SPKD „Prosvjeta“, the Agreement was signed by Secretary General Nenad Marilović, while on behalf of BZK „Preporod“, it was signed by the President of the Association Senadin Lavić. Agreements were also signed by Elma Softić Kaunitz, Secretary General of the Cultural Society „La Benevolencija“, and the President of HKD „Napredak“, Franjo Topić.

Funds for this purpose have been secured in the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2015 through Current Transfers to non-profit organizations within the scope of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, specifically:

- SPKD „Prosvjeta“ Cultural Society in the amount of 40,000 KM,

- BZK „Preporod“ Cultural Society in the amount of 70,000 KM,

- HKD „Napredak“ Cultural Society in the amount of 50,000 KM,

- „La Benevolencija“ Cultural Society in the amount of 20,000 KM.

- These national cultural societies are the oldest cultural societies in BiH and as such represent a significant historical, cultural, national, and social fact in BiH. Therefore, the primary goal of supporting national cultural societies is the preservation and affirmation of the cultural identity of the peoples of BiH, stated Minister Dujmović on this occasion.

The allocated funds are support for the work of non-profit organizations for annual program and project activities aimed at preserving the history, culture, and tradition of the peoples of BiH, it was announced from the relevant ministry.
