Vilić, Aljić, Gogić, Korman and Šut compete for the head of DKPT

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - 33 applications from 20 candidates, including one woman, were received for the public tender for the heads of the Border Police of BiH and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, as well as deputy directors of these agencies and in SIPA. Some candidates applied for multiple positions.

Five candidates applied for the director of DKPT, and besides the current director Mirsad Vilić, Amra Aljić, Jasmin Gogić, Semir Šut, and Ensad Korman applied.

Vilić has been heading DKPT since 2014, and during his term, the Directorate strengthened cooperation with international institutions and partner police agencies.

Amra Aljić is the first woman to apply for leadership positions in police agencies. Aljić is currently a chief inspector in the Border Police of BiH, and she held the position of head of the Central Investigation Office for a long time.

Jasmin Gogić is an employee of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), and has been the head of the Internal Control Department since 2014. He previously worked as the head of the Regional Office of SIPA in Tuzla.

Semir Šut holds the position of commissioner of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. He was elected commissioner in 2014.

Ensad Korman has held the position of deputy director of the Federal Police Administration since 2014.

As previously reported by Patria, the current director Zoran Galić also applied for another term as head of the Border Police of BiH.

Applications for other vacant positions were also received from Zoran Glušac, Ivica Bošnjak, Relja Kovač, Semir Pašanbegović, Fahrudin Halač, Robert Perić, Almir Bašić, as well as Đuro Knežević, who holds the position of deputy director of SIPA.

The committee noted that all candidates meet the requirements stipulated by the Public Tender. Interviews with candidates will be completed by the end of February, after which the Supervisory Board will submit ranked lists to the Ministry of Security of BiH, and the minister will submit a proposal for the appointment of the director or deputy to the Council of Ministers.
