80,000 KM Allocated for Free Snacks for Primary School Students

The Centar Municipality, through its Department for Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Refugees and Displaced Persons, is again this year paying for school snacks for children from families with weaker financial status who attend primary schools in the central city municipality, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

From the budget of the Centar Municipality in 2014, 80,000 KM was allocated for more than 600 students from 13 primary schools who are entitled to free snacks during the school year. 

In addition to 11 primary schools from its area, the Municipality also pays for snacks for students from the Center for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation of Children and the Center for Upbringing, Education, Vocational Training and Employment of Mentally Retarded Children, Children Suffering from Autism and Cerebral Palsy "Vladimir Nazor".

The largest number of children entitled to free snacks attend the "Nafija Sarajlić" Primary School.

Free snacks are received by primary school students who are beneficiaries of child allowance. Primary schools submit lists of children to the Department for Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Refugees and Displaced Persons, after which the competent Department carries out checks and makes a decision on meeting the right to this form of assistance.
