Backpacks and school supplies for 276 first-graders from the Municipality of Stari Grad

A total of 276 first-graders have been enrolled in seven primary schools in Stari Grad this year, and the Municipality of Stari Grad has provided backpacks and school supplies, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

On this occasion, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad, and Amina Deljković, Assistant Mayor for Education, Culture, Sport and Local Development, visited the primary schools "Edhem Mulabdić" and "Mula Mustafa Bašeskija" today and distributed backpacks to the first-graders, wishing them a warm welcome.

- I wish all first-graders a happy start to school, and their parents and teachers to guide them on the right path. I know that the greatest burden is on you, but primary education is the foundation for further schooling and for life in general – said Hadžibajrić.

Mayor Hadžibajrić reminded that the Municipality of Stari Grad traditionally provides gifts for all first-graders and announced that this project will continue in the future. Due to weather conditions, a joint festive reception was not organized on the plateau in front of the Municipality. All first-graders from the schools "Saburina", "Hamdija Kreševljaković", "Vrhbosna", "Šejh ef. Hadžijamaković", "Edhem Mulabdić", "Mula Mustafa Bašeskija" and "Mjedenica" received gift packages.
