Unprecedented interest in the 18th Jazz Fest Sarajevo

There is unprecedented interest in the 18th international festival Jazz Fest Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as among audiences from regional countries.

This year, jazz audiences from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Hungary are coming in the largest numbers so far. There is interest in all concerts, and the largest number of visitors from the region is expected from Thursday, November 6, when the “weekend warriors” will descend on Sarajevo for the music.

- The quality program this year, perhaps more than ever, has shown the strength and quality of Jazz Fest, and we are already very satisfied with the incredible response from the audience despite the general lack of funds - says Đana Karavdić from the Jazz Fest directorate, noting that visitors from Austria, Italy, and other countries have also announced their arrival in Sarajevo in the first week of November.

- Most of the audience regularly comes from Croatia and Serbia, especially from Belgrade, while domestic festival visitors from outside Sarajevo are mostly from Tuzla and Banja Luka. We must not forget the 80 young musicians from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the former Yugoslavia who will participate in the traditional regional educational program Music Meeting, so Jazz Fest will once again show not only its quality but also its distinct international character - say the Jazz Fest directorate.

Tickets for all concerts of the festival, which will be held from November 4 to 9, can be purchased at the box office in the Bosnian Cultural Center, every day except Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00. More information can be found at www.jazzfest.ba.
