Wigemark held meetings with Radončić and Izetbegović

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative Lars Gunnar Wigemark spoke today with SBB President Fahrudin Radončić at the party's premises. This is one in a series of Wigemark's meetings with local leaders ahead of the visit of EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn to Bosnia and Herzegovina, expected on March 23 this year, the SBB announced. 

Wigemark informed the SBB President about the ongoing activities in preparing the new agenda for socio-economic reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its preliminary content.

Radončić expressed the firm support of the SBB for all reforms that will make BiH a more orderly and wealthier society for its citizens. He also offered minor suggestions regarding the content of the platform, which in the conversation with Wigemark he assessed as an exceptionally well-prepared vision of the priorities for the work of the future government, regardless of who will compose it.

Wigemark also met today with the President of the Party of Democratic Action, Bakir Izetbegović. 

The talks covered the political situation in BiH, with an emphasis on continuing the process of forming the government and harmonizing the reform program for the work of governments in BiH during this mandate period.

The key importance of a credible European perspective for the stability and socio-economic development of BiH was highlighted. It was noted that it is necessary to form an efficient government as soon as possible in order to stabilize the situation in our country and enable accelerated development, with a focus on increasing employment, mass infrastructure construction, and the fight against corruption.
