Wigemark: Ćamil Duraković is doing a good job in Srebrenica

Most praise during the first development conference in Srebrenica, which opened on Tuesday, went to the Mayor Ćamil Duraković.

Not only domestic officials, but also representatives of the international community assessed that gathering the biggest businessmen in the country, as well as the highest representatives of the government, in one place like Srebrenica, is not an easy task at all, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- Standing here in the place where genocide happened and talking about the future is not easy, said the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.

- That is why the European Union has decided that it is important for this country and for its accession to the European family to start addressing social and societal issues. Of course, other rights and the rule of law are also important, because businessmen like predictability, no one will invest where there is no law. It is positive that Željka Cvijanović spoke about the investment climate in the RS, but we from the EU think that much more needs to be done – said Wigemark, adding that for this reason he wants to praise the Mayor of Srebrenica, Duraković, who managed to gather businessmen and the government in one place.

Wigemark said that BiH is entering a phase where people need to be encouraged to invest money in the country, but it is certain that many people in BiH, specifically in Srebrenica, would come as tourists as well, because it is a beautiful region, writes NAP.
