WASHINGTON Transatlantic Gas Security Summit, BiH Among Signatories of the Declaration

(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković will be in the United States of America from February 23 to 25, 2026, where, at the invitation of the National Council for Energy Dominance, he will participate in the Transatlantic Gas Security Summit, to be held on February 24, 2026 in Washington. The hosts of the summit are the Chairman of the Council, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, and the Vice Chairman, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright.

This high-level gathering brings together ministers and chief executive officers of leading energy companies with the aim of strengthening transatlantic cooperation in the field of secure and diversified natural gas supply in Europe. Special focus will be on reducing dependence on Russian energy sources, expanding infrastructure and commercial arrangements along existing energy routes across Europe, increasing the flow of U.S. LNG towards Eastern Europe, and developing long-term contracts and investments that form the foundation of Europe's energy security.

As part of the official program of the summit, the signing of a Joint Declaration on Strengthening the Security of Natural Gas Supply in Central and Eastern Europe is planned, which expresses a shared commitment to diversifying sources and supply routes, strengthening regional infrastructure, improving commercial arrangements, and ensuring long-term energy stability and security.

The declaration will be signed by ministers and representatives of the Republic of Greece, the Republic of Bulgaria, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the United States of America.

On the sidelines of the event, Minister Konaković will hold a series of bilateral meetings with high officials.
