Vukota Govedarica candidate for President of Republika Srpska

Vukota Govedarica is the candidate of the Serbian Democratic Party for the President of Republika Srpska. This decision was made today by the SDS Main Board, which was held in Banja Luka.

The SDS, within the Alliance for Change, had the right of first choice, and today they decided to enter the race for the President of Republika Srpska.

It has been known earlier, however, that the PDP decided, as a party of the Alliance for Change, that Mladen Ivanić would be the candidate for the BiH Presidency.

Govedarica has been a member of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) since 1999. Until 2006, he was the president of the SDS Youth, and since 2009, he has been the vice-president of the Party. He first participated in elections in 2004, when he was elected as a councilor in the Gacko Municipal Assembly. He was elected as the new leader of the Serbian Democratic Party on October 23, 2016, succeeding Mladen Bosić in that position.
