TUZLA, (Patria) - BiH national basketball team coach Duško Vujošević spoke about many topics at today's press conference, and details that were previously less known or completely unknown about certain national team players were revealed. Ahead of the matches with France and Belgium, Vujošević faced cancellations from important players such as Džanan Musa, Nemanja Gordić, and player injuries...

The coach then touched upon Nemanja Gordić, for whom he said that he gave a lot to the national team, but also that he was promised that the BiH Basketball Federation would do everything to rebuild his house, which was destroyed during the aggression.

- I tried to influence people in the Federation and friends I have in social life. He was promised that the house would be finished. The work was supposed to start, his father hired workers to clean up, but later no one responded. I told him that I understood why those promises were not kept. I told him why he was doing something that was not fair. He is aware that the house cannot be finished before the match with France. That was not the way to end this situation like this. He should have thought about it, but he decided that it was enough and that he would not come - said Vujošević.

Vujošević himself is in poor health; instead of a transplant, he prioritized basketball.

Vujošević spoke particularly about the young Džanan Musa, whom his club, the Brooklyn Nets, forbade from joining the national team gathering. Musa signs his contract on July 1st.

– He is someone who, along with Nurkić, should be the main pillar of the future national team. His absence affects and hurts everyone. His great desire was to play in the NBA league. I worked with him with special care. He wanted to go to the Draft, that was his great wish. I roughly knew that he would pass in the first round and that it would have the consequence of him not playing for the national team. He was drafted by Brooklyn as the 29th pick. He doesn't have a contract. Everyone drafted in the first round has a contract, but he doesn't sign it before July 1st. They looked at the number of games he had. I didn't have a meeting with Musa and his agent, but in Brooklyn, they were explicitly against him coming to the national team. They are his new employers and they have a say in many things. He is not Nowitzki, he has to build his reputation. Now it's being packaged in the media, when and how it's announced. I regret that he is not here. I hope he will progress and I am happy that he is in the NBA. That he is at the beginning of his dream, and I hope he will become a player who will have weight, who one day, when there is an opportunity to play, will come and play. I believe Musa and I don't believe that Miško can tell him and influence him to manipulate, saying you will tell them this and that - said Vujošević, and then touched upon manager Miško Ražnatović.

– His manager does not have the authority to do whatever he wants. He has not made a contract yet, I don't know if there is any paper that will be verified after July 1st. He is not working against the interests of Bosnia, but for interests called money. He doesn't understand coaches, he has no sporting motives, and he does an excellent job in this regard.

Regarding the match with France, Vujošević said that they face a team that is extremely strong.

- Those players are great professionals, where Parker formed that kind of relationship, who is currently not in the national team. I am glad that this is happening in Tuzla. That they made an effort, made top-notch locker rooms. I am emotionally attached, my friend Delibašić started his career here. I regret that it is not like that. We will fight, we will give our best, as we have done in training. Some things must be done systematically. We gain nothing by advancing to the next round and then having this situation again - said coach Duško Vujošević.
