Vujošević: We must take Armenia very seriously in order to celebrate victory

The Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball team will play its third pre-qualification match for the 2019 World Cup against Armenia tomorrow, reports the Patria agency.

The coach of our national team, Duško Vujošević, stated at today's press conference that Armenia is an extremely strong team and that the match must be approached with maximum caution.

- This is a very important match for us. Armenia is a country that has the largest number of players studying in America, and they also have three Americans on the team. In the pre-qualifications, they defeated Slovakia and Sweden, so they come with great confidence. They play in front of full stands, and I hope that in Skenderija they will see a full hall. It is a quality squad that is much better than its name suggests - said Vujošević.

The coach pointed out that he is satisfied with the players' engagement in the previous two matches against Sweden and Slovakia.

- We have been together for a short time, but it can be said that we have done an excellent job. I am satisfied with the enthusiasm with which the guys worked, which is reflected through energy and fighting spirit in every match. It is not always perfect due to their youth, there are fluctuations, but they are in the function of the team, showing desire, and I appreciate that - Vujošević believes.

National team players Obrad Tomić and Edin Atić announced a great fight for victory.

- We are all training well. We expect a tough match, which we have taken seriously. There are no predetermined wins, and I invite fans to come in as large numbers as possible to support us - said Atić.

Tomić invited fans to fill the hall and help the players achieve an important victory.

- I hope for a full hall, which would be a great boost for us. When there was good play in the third quarter, the audience carried us. Armenia is quality, especially the playmaker, who played for Cedevita. I hope we will play a good defensive game, give our maximum for all 40 minutes to achieve an extremely important victory - said Tomić.

The match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia will be played on Wednesday at 8 PM.
