Vujić for Patria: Hungarians will come to Srebrenica for the first time in an organized manner and see what happened there

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Tvrtko Vujić, a Hungarian travel writer, author, lecturer, and journalist, has traveled a large part of the planet Earth, and now he wants to embark on a new mission - informing and educating Hungarians about the genocide in Srebrenica, and for the first time, citizens of Hungary will come in an organized manner to the city where genocide was committed against a nation.  

Good day, my dear Bosnians and Herzegovinians, I am a Hungarian travel writer, author, lecturer, and director. This is how Tvrtko Vujić's statement to the Patria agency begins regarding his humanitarian mission to inform Hungarians about the genocide in Srebrenica. 

“Although I have traveled the whole world, from North Korea to Australia, from Chernobyl to the Sahara, I have one wish I want to fulfill. Every year I travel to Srebrenica, I survived the war in Bosnia and Croatia, but I would like to take my fellow Hungarians and show them what Srebrenica is,” adds Vujić. 

After this statement about my wish, Vujić continues, a young man who owns a travel agency contacted me with a desire to organize this trip, and for me to be the tour guide. 

“I agreed to that, and we posted this news on our page. We thought the first bus would fill up in seven days. What happened next, we couldn't believe. Two buses filled up within 12 hours. So, in less than a day, we had two full buses. After that, we decided on two tours,” adds Vujić. 

As he says, this is the first time in history that Hungarians will have the opportunity, besides Međugorje, Mostar, and the beautiful Sarajevo Baščaršija, to see what happened in Srebrenica. 

“I want Hungarians to see that just a few hours from the southernmost Hungarian city of Szeged, there is a city called Srebrenica – our history,” Vujić says in an interview with the Patria agency.
