VSTV Confirms Transfer of Diana Kajmaković to the Position of State Prosecutor

(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council confirmed the second-instance disciplinary decision by which Diana Kajmaković was transferred from the position of Deputy Chief Prosecutor to the position of Prosecutor at the State Prosecutor's Office, Detektor learns.

This information was confirmed to Detektor by her legal representative Lejla Čović.

The second-instance disciplinary commission confirmed in February the decision of the first-instance commission imposing the disciplinary measure of “transfer from the position of Deputy Chief Prosecutor to the position of Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina” on Kajmaković.

At that time, the appeal of the defendant Kajmaković was partially granted, and the count of the indictment by which she was found responsible for “conduct constituting a serious breach of official duty and calling into question public trust in the impartiality and credibility of the prosecutor's office” was dismissed.

She was found responsible, according to this count, for, while performing duties as a manager in the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina – keeping documents marked with a level of secrecy, received in the period from November 8, 2021 to August 24, 2022, personally delivered to the defendant “by hand”, and related to the “Sky App” cases, in a safe in her office without proper registration.

According to an earlier statement, by the first-instance decision Kajmaković was also found responsible for – knowing that the verification of allegations in the prosecutor's case concerned the verification of communications of criminal individuals from the “Sky App” cases in relation to her – requesting from a professional associate to be shown documents from the case file, and thus using her position to obtain unjustified benefits for herself in the form of obtaining information that should not be available to her.

For these actions, she was found responsible for committing the offense of “using the position of prosecutor to obtain unjustified benefits for herself or others”.

The United States of America banned Kajmaković from entering the country in December 2023, and earlier she was sanctioned by the same country, Detektor writes.
