
(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a meeting on Friday to establish cooperation with institutions and other legal entities necessary for the swift and efficient verification of asset and interest reports of judicial office holders and their relatives.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Central Bank of BiH, the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of BiH, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, the Directorate for Finance of Brčko District of BiH, the Financial Information Agency, the Agency for Intermediation, Information and Financial Services, the Republican Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice of RS, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of RS, the Federal Police Administration, and representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH.
The Vice-President of the HJPC BiH, Aleksandra Obradović, thanked the participants and emphasized that the support of institutions is crucial in carrying out the activities envisaged by the amendments to the Law, as this process can only be successful with continuous and coordinated cooperation. She also added that she believes this support will not be lacking, as by attending the meeting, the institutions have shown that they can be counted on as reliable partners.
Verification of asset and interest reports of judges, prosecutors, and their relatives represents a new jurisdiction that the HJPC BiH gained by adopting the Law on Amendments to the Law on the HJPC BiH.
Representatives of the institutions who attended the meeting expressed their readiness for cooperation, which will be further regulated by cooperation agreements.
