HJPC publishes decisions on appointments of prosecutors and judges of POSKOK and the Supreme Court of FBiH, deadline for administrative dispute eight days

(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council published decisions on the appointment of prosecutors of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of FBiH, who will be assigned to the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of BiH for combating corruption, organized and inter-cantonal crime, as well as decisions on the appointment of judges of the Special Department of the Supreme Court of FBiH on its website on January 31.

An administrative dispute may be initiated before the Court of BiH against these decisions within eight days of their publication.

The HJPC appointed seven prosecutors at its session on January 16, while the competition will be repeated for two positions. The appointed prosecutors are: Samir Selimović, Nina Šahinpašić, Medina Džerahović, Aida Bešlija, Amra Mehmedić, Jovo Karić and Aid Hadžismailović.

The HJPC also appointed the head of the Special Department, i.e., the deputy chief federal prosecutor, Hrvoje Čabrajić.

The appointed judges of the Special Department of the Supreme Court of FBiH are Ajla Papović-Mujan, Mersudin Pružan, Igor Todorović, Željko Rezo, Senad Osmić, Pavo Radoš and Enisa Adrović. The competition will be repeated for three judge positions.

The date of taking office will be determined by the HJPC through a special decision after the completion of appeals.

Expectations are that POSKOK will start operating in April, and premises have been secured since October 2024 in the building of the former Privredna banka at Alipašina 6.
