HJPC on Action Plan for Implementation of Amendments to the HJPC Law

(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) has scheduled its regular session for today, during which, among other things, an amendment to the Work Program of the regulatory body for 2024 should be considered.

The agenda also includes the implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Law on Amendments to the Law on the HJPC of BiH.
As announced on the official website of the HJPC BiH, the members of this body should provide their opinion regarding the adoption of the Rulebook on reporting on assets and interests from Article 86i. of the Law on the HJPC of BiH, it was confirmed by this regulatory body.

This refers to the provision that defines that the HJPC will regulate additional details related to the form of the report, including the attachments submitted with it, deadlines, and the procedure for submitting the report, by a special rulebook.

The same provision envisages exceptions to data access, operational aspects of the work of the Department within the Secretariat, including the advisory role of experts, the establishment and maintenance of records or a register of reports, the procedure and dynamics of checking reports, and the procedure for concluding cooperation agreements with bodies, institutions, and other legal entities.

Among other things, it is planned that the HJPC BiH will consider the realization of case resolution plans for 2023.

According to established practice, the HJPC will also make a certain number of decisions regarding the termination of mandates, i.e., the appointment of judicial office holders in BiH.
