(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, at today's continuation of its sessions, should make a decision on the election of the Deputy Chief Federal Prosecutor who will lead the Special Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime. According to information from the Istraga portal, Pavo Radoš, a prosecutor from the Brčko Prosecutor's Office, has the best chance. The HJPC will choose from three candidates.
As Istraga reports, some members of the HJPC are also considering the option of canceling the competition for the deputy. In that case, prosecutors for that department would be appointed, but not the head of that department.
The appointment of nine prosecutors to the Federal Prosecutor's Office is expected, and the Chief Federal Prosecutor Munib Halilović will determine which nine prosecutors will work in the Special Department.
Also, the HJPC will appoint ten judges for the Special Department of the Supreme Court of FBiH.
The Special Department of the FBih Prosecutor's Office will be located at Alipašina 6 street, in the premises of the former Privredna banka. The start of the Special Department's work is planned for December, and the application procedure for hiring staff for this department is underway.
