HJPC Appoints New Prosecutors and Judges in BiH

(Patria) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) has made decisions on the appointment of holders of judicial functions in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the second day of its session, held on October 16 and 17, 2024, in Sarajevo.

At the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the following were appointed:

• Zoran Bajić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Livno;

• Selena Beba, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Kiseljak;

• Almina Hadžić-Iširlija, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Kiseljak;

• Anel Trumić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Melisa Bandić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Mirsada Karahmetović, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Ana Sotirov, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Bojana Miralem, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Kenad Osmanović, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Sanida Vahida-Ramić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Nina Šeremet, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Slobodanka Gajić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Haris Demirović, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Nataša Lalović, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Vildana Abaz Hadžić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Nađa Rekanović Topčagić, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo;

• Perica Krišto, to the position of judge at the Municipal Court in Travnik;

• Dragan Slijepčević, to the position of prosecutor at the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

• Anela Garčević-Hukić, to the position of prosecutor at the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

• Nefisa Kahteran, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton;

• Jelena Plakalović, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton;

• Hasan Pleh, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton;

• Adnan Džaferagić, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton;

• Nataša Zlomislić, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton;

• Marija Vasić, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Una-Sana Canton;

• Anes Alibabić, to the position of prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Una-Sana Canton.

At the level of Republika Srpska, the following were appointed:

• Željka Gnjatović, to the position of prosecutor at the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Prijedor;

• Maja Milanović, to the position of prosecutor at the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Prijedor;

• Vanja Mitrović, to the position of prosecutor at the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Prijedor;

• Mladen Ubović, to the position of judge at the Basic Court in Prijedor;

• Amra Grozdanić, to the position of judge at the Basic Court in Prijedor;

• Dino Mehmedagić, to the position of judge at the Basic Court in Doboj;

• Bratislav Mrdić, to the position of judge at the Basic Court in Doboj;

• Haša Jahić, to the position of judge at the Basic Court in Srebrenica;

• Milana Ivanović, to the position of judge at the Basic Court in Novi Grad.

At the level of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the following was appointed:

• Amina Dedić, to the position of prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

When making the Decision on Appointment, the HJPC BiH took into account criteria such as: professional knowledge, work experience and work results; professional abilities based on past career achievements; ability to perform duties impartially, conscientiously, diligently, decisively and responsibly within the scope of the function for which they are applying; relationship with colleagues, behavior outside of work, professional impartiality.

When appointing, the HJPC BiH applies the relevant constitutional provisions governing the equal rights and representation of constituent peoples and others, and respects the balanced representation of genders.
