Valuable gift from Centar Municipality to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo

In the hall of the Institute for Scientific Research and Development at the Clinical Center in Koševo, the Mayor of Centar Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, handed over the keys to three ambulance vans to the Director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, Damir Aganović, Patria reports.

The Centar Municipality thus continued its long-standing practice of allocating budget funds for equipping the KCUS, and this time 176,800 KM was allocated for the procurement and registration of the ambulance vehicles. The vehicles will be used for transporting patients and equipment.

According to Mayor Bećirević, cooperation will continue in the coming period.

- This is one of my dearest donations to the Clinical Center, and I hope it is what they currently need most. I am glad that patients will no longer be transported from clinic to clinic in wheelchairs and on stretchers. We will continue to cooperate in the future. All of this is not a gift to the KCUS but to our fellow citizens, i.e., patients. In this way, we are creating better conditions for our patients who are treated at the Clinical Center, where they receive healthcare services that are also available in other centers in the West - said Bećirević.

As Director Aganović emphasized, this donation will greatly improve the quality of services provided to patients. The vehicles are equipped with all necessary top-quality equipment, such as stretchers, oxygen cylinders, stationary blood pressure monitors, cabinets for storing medical equipment...

- This donation is very significant for us. We received three state-of-the-art ambulance vehicles that are necessary for our fleet, which is very old. The donated vehicles were made according to our specifications and will be used for transporting patients, medical equipment, and medicines. This year, the Centar Municipality donated the most modern equipment worth 255,000 KM to us, and since 2009, more than 790,000 KM, Aganović emphasized.

Numerous Clinical Center employees and patients attended the handover of the vehicles.
