Supreme Court of the FBiH imposes measures banning the performance of duties for Munjić, Mušinović, Huseinović-Ajanović and Ohranović

(Patria) - The Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH has imposed measures banning the performance of duties for acting director of the FUP Vahidin Munjić, director of the Police Academy in Vraca Ervin Mušinović, head of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the FBiH Arijana Huseinović-Ajanović and FUP inspector Muhamed Ohranović, Istraga.ba reports.

The prohibition measures were requested by the Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organised and Inter-Cantonal Crime of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FBiH (POSKOK) due to reasonable suspicion that the suspects committed multiple criminal acts of abuse of office and influence peddling over a longer period.

The court also banned the suspects from meeting with each other, as well as with leaders of the Government of the FBiH and the Federal Ministry of Interior, and other state officials, as well as with the fifth suspect Mirela Bubalo, Alena Begović, defence attorney for the first suspect Munjić, confirmed for RSE.

A measure was also imposed banning approach to the official premises of the FUP and the federal MUP, i.e. the Government of the FBiH for the suspect Arijana Huseinović-Ajanović.

Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FBiH: Proposal for prohibition measures partially adopted

The Special Department of the Supreme Court of the FBiH partially adopted the proposal for prohibition measures of the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FBiH for suspects M.V., M.O., A.H.A., and E.M. due to suspicion of committing multiple corrupt acts, the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FBiH announced.

‣ For suspect M.V. - prohibition from undertaking certain business activities or official duties, namely a ban on performing the official duty he currently holds, and a ban on performing any duty within the Federal Police Administration;

‣ For suspect M.O. - prohibition from undertaking certain business activities or official duties, namely a ban on performing the official duty of any official function within the Federal Police Administration;

‣ For suspect A.H-A. - prohibition from undertaking certain business activities or official duties, namely a ban on performing the official duty of any official function within the Government of the Federation;

‣ For suspect E.M. - prohibition from undertaking certain business activities or official duties, namely a ban on performing the official duty of any official function within the Federal Police Administration and the Federal Ministry of Interior;

‣ For suspects M.V., M.O. and E.M. - prohibition from visiting certain places or areas, namely a ban on visiting and approaching all official premises of the Federal Police Administration and official premises of the Federal Ministry of Interior at a distance of less than 100 m;

‣ For suspect A.H.A. - prohibition from visiting certain places or areas, and a measure banning visiting and approaching all official premises of the Government of the Federation at a distance of less than 100 m;

‣ For suspects M.V., M.O., A.H.A. and E.M. - measures banning contact with certain persons, namely a ban on meeting each other, a ban on meeting with suspect B.M., and a ban on meeting with certain persons at a distance of 100 metres below which they must not approach each other, as well as other persons.

The partial acceptance refers only to the part in which the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FBiH requested a ban on performing official functions in all agencies in the territory of the Federation. However, the Supreme Court of the FBiH banned the performance of official functions only in the institutions where the suspects are currently employed. All other proposed prohibition measures were adopted.

Although the case is colloquially called "Spengavanje" because Prime Minister Nikšić expressed in messages with Munjić a desire to "spenga some criminal", and then inquired about the FBiH Motorways case, at this stage Prime Minister Nikšić has not been summoned to POSKOK nor has his phone been confiscated.

The messages exchanged by the suspects relate to the period 2023 and 2024, and were obtained through forensic examination of Vahidin Munjić's phone, which was confiscated after his arrest in April 2024 in the BiH Prosecutor's Office operation "Black tie 2". An indictment has not yet been filed in that case.
