Samira Muharemović with her son Rijad Omerbašić, who are also members of the Facebook group Vrbanja in Heart and Soul, visited little Elnur Numanović in Lukavac yesterday, reports the news agency Patria.
On behalf of the group members, Samira and Rijad presented the Numanović family with 5,500 KM to help with Elnur's treatment.
– My group Vrbanja in Heart and Soul, and Vrbanja is a neighborhood in Banja Luka where we come from, launched a campaign to help little Elnur.
So far, we have participated in about 10 humanitarian campaigns, especially during the floods, and donated around 40,000 KM. I coordinated the campaign to help little Elnur, in which we collected 5,500 KM.
Truly, I must note that so far there have never been any problems, doubts, or any other issues regarding donations among the members of our group, which I am especially happy about because the trust of my people is invaluable, says Samira, sodalive.ba reports.
Ten-year-old Elnur suffers from a severe genetic disease, epidermolysis bullosa, which, in addition to skin problems, is accompanied by a number of complications in other organs.
Due to their extreme sensitivity, people with this disease are called "butterfly children".
Daily wound dressing, proper nutrition, physical therapy, specially chosen clothing and footwear without seams and made of natural soft materials, as well as occasional surgical procedures, incur significant costs.
The Numanović family is finding it increasingly difficult to cope with this problem, as no one is employed and they live on 80 KM of social assistance.
