The previously announced nonconstitutional referendum is under way in the RS. A polling place is also opened in Vrbanja – the part of Banja Luka mainly populated by Bosniaks.
According to Patria's reporter in Banja Luka, Bosniaks are not voting, while Serbs have been coming to the polling stations since 7 a.m.
Police has stepped up presence in Vrbanja. No incidents have been reported.
According to the first reports from 9:00 a.m., a total of 7% voted out of 77% registered voters.
