Drive Carefully, Landslides Are Frequent, Roads Are Wet

(Patria) - In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, roads are wet or damp this morning, with warnings of frequent landslides and advice for more careful driving. The following roads are particularly highlighted: Bihać-Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Jajce-Banja Luka, Turbe-Karanovac, Bugojno-Kupres, Jablanica-Prozor, Konjic-Jablanica-Mostar-Doljani, Sarajevo-Foča and Rogatica-Višegrad.

Due to repair works on the guardrail along the Zenica-Doboj highway (on the Donja Vraca-Liješnica section), vehicles are driving at reduced speeds every day (except Sundays), from 9 AM to 5 PM, with alternating traffic flow. Given that this is a busy section, longer queues of vehicles can be expected in both directions.

On the Konjic-Jablanica highway, on the bridge near the Crnaja tunnel, expansion joint repair works are underway, causing reduced traffic speed, regulated by traffic lights.

Due to road repair works on the M-17.5 Jablanica-Blidinje highway (on the Jablanica-Kosne Luke section), passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total mass are driving at reduced speeds, with alternating traffic flow every day (except Sundays) from 7 AM to 5:30 PM. Traffic is still suspended for vehicles over 3.5 tons of total mass.

Works are also ongoing on the A-1 highway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever, as well as on the highways: Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci settlement), Semizovac-Olovo, Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), Mostar-Čitluk (at the entrance to Čitluk) and Jajce-Crna Rijeka.

At border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles do not exceed 30 minutes.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are being redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 10 PM to 6 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10 PM and 6 AM), according to the IC BiHAMK.
