Drivers beware, ice, landslides and strong winds

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Due to low temperatures, drivers are warned this morning about possible ice, especially in mountainous areas, as well as on bridges, viaducts and tunnel approaches. In western and southwestern regions, attention is drawn to occasional strong winds. Attention is also drawn to minor landslides of soil or rocks. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution, and not to set off on the road without winter equipment, BIHAMK stated this morning.

Work is underway in the Crnaja tunnel on the Konjic-Jablanica section, where traffic is alternating on one lane with traffic light regulation.

Due to numerous landslides and the risk of mudslides on the main road Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje, passenger vehicles are experiencing difficult traffic, while trucks cannot pass.

Traffic is suspended due to works in the Jasen tunnel (Prozor-Jablanica). Passenger vehicles and smaller trucks are using the bypass around the tunnel, while trucks over 7.5 tons (with the exception of buses) are being redirected to alternative routes: Mostar-Široki Brijeg-Posušje-Tomislavgrad-Kupres-Bugojno and Mostar-Sarajevo-Busovača-Novi Travnik-Bugojno.

Construction of a roundabout is underway on the main road Klašnice-Laktaši, due to which the traffic of passenger vehicles and buses is being rerouted via the bypass through Laktaši, while freight traffic is being redirected to the highway.

Traffic is also moving slowly due to works on the road sections: Stupari-Živinice, Živinice-Banovići, Drvar-Bosansko Grahovo, Rogatica-Ustiprača, Gromiljak-Blažuj and Šuica-Tomislavgrad.

There are no long delays at border crossings.
