(Patria) - It is raining in most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and traffic is on wet and occasionally slippery roads.
BIHAMK warns of frequent landslides and falling rocks, and due to strong winds, also of the possibility of fallen trees onto the road.
The roads Bihać-Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Jajce-Banja Luka, Turbe-Karanovac, Bugojno-Kupres, Mostar-Doljani, Sarajevo-Foča, and Rogatica-Višegrad are particularly highlighted.
On the Srbac-Derventa main road, traffic is suspended due to works on laying the final asphalt layer, and vehicles are redirected to the Srbac-Prnjavor-Derventa route.
Landslide remediation is underway in the village of Sijeračke stijene on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road, where traffic is suspended for up to 45 minutes between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Due to the remediation of an active landslide on the Ostrožac–Buturović Polje regional road, traffic is temporarily suspended. Alternative routes are in use and are recommended until the works are completed.
Works are also ongoing on the A-1 motorway sections Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever and Visoko-Kakanj, as well as on the main roads: Vrtoče–Bosanski Petrovac (Medeno Polje area), Semizovac-Olovo, Žepče–Maglaj (Ozimica location), Zavidovići-Vozuća (in Krivaja), Klašnice-Banja Luka, Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Jablanica-Blidinje (Jablanica-Kosne Luke), Konjic-Jablanica (Ostrožac), Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci settlement), Bileća-Trebinje (Žudojevići location), Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), Mostar-Čitluk (at the entrance to Čitluk), as well as at the entrance to Neum.
There are long queues of vehicles at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Bosanska Dubica, Kostajnica, Gradina, and Bosanska Gradiška. At other border crossings, current waiting times for passenger vehicles do not exceed 30 minutes.
Due to the registration of passengers under the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight is prohibited at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik).
Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM).
BIHAMK reminds drivers that as of November 1st, winter equipment is mandatory on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
