(Patria) - Suspected GRAS tram driver Adnan Kasapović has been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) Prosecutor's Office.
He will be detained for 24 hours, and within that legal period, after being questioned by the acting prosecutor, a decision will be made on further measures, the KS Prosecutor's Office announced this evening.
At the same time, other checks relevant to the investigation are being intensively carried out.
Certain documentation was seized from GRAS today, and an inspection of the tram was conducted in the presence of experts in mechanical, traffic, and electrical engineering, supervised by prosecutors from the KS Prosecutor's Office.
Otherwise, due to the interest of the investigation, the KS Prosecutor's Office cannot communicate on individual actions that will be taken at this stage.
Also, experts will later comment on the cause of the accident and submit their findings to the Prosecutor's Office.
Let us remind you that during the tram derailment yesterday around noon in the Sarajevo settlement of Marijin Dvor, one person was killed and four were injured.
