Sarajevo-Ploče-Sarajevo train to operate from June 27, round-trip ticket price 41.40 KM, some categories have discounts

(Patria) - Railways of FBiH inform the public that the international seasonal passenger train on the Sarajevo – Ploče – Sarajevo route will operate from June 27 to August 31, 2025, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Departure from Sarajevo is at 7:15 AM, and arrival in Ploče at 10:36 AM. Return from Ploče is scheduled for 6:26 PM, and arrival in Sarajevo at 9:54 PM.

Due to the introduction of this international seasonal passenger train, from June 27 to August 31, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the departure time of the afternoon express train from Čapljina to Sarajevo will be changed, and it will operate at the following times: Čapljina at 7:29 PM, Žitomislići at 7:41 PM, Mostar at 7:56 PM, Drežnica Stara at 8:15 PM, Jablanica Grad at 8:29 PM, Konjic at 8:45 PM, Hadžići at 9:37 PM. On other days, from Monday to Thursday, train number 722 will depart from Čapljina at the regular time of 4:42 PM.

Passengers can purchase tickets for Ploče at sales points in Sarajevo, Hadžići, Konjic, Mostar, and Čapljina. Tickets for Ploče cannot be purchased online. Tickets should be purchased no later than the day before the planned travel by 12:00 PM, and the following information should be provided at the ticket counter: first name and last name, year of birth, and passport number. This procedure is mandatory for more efficient customs control and shorter delays when crossing the state border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.

If a passenger starts their journey in Ploče, they will purchase the ticket on the day of travel from the conductor on the train.

Passengers from Ploče pay for the ticket in convertible marks or euros.

The price of a one-way ticket is 25 KM, and a round-trip ticket is 41.40 KM and is valid for one month.

Passengers entitled to a 30 percent discount – students, journalists, pensioners, and groups of more than six adult passengers, will pay 18.60 KM for a one-way ticket and 37.20 KM for a round-trip ticket.

Passengers with 50 percent discounts – children aged 4 to 12, blind persons and their escorts, groups of more than 30 adults, will pay 14.30 KM for a one-way ticket and 28.60 KM for a round-trip ticket.
