Volunteers made ten square meters of Bosnian carpet from bottle caps

The president of the ecological association Green Art, Alma Hrasnica, held two of five workshops where participants are making boards from plastic bottle caps that will be used to create a large Bosnian carpet measuring 15x3 meters, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Two workshops were held a few days ago with members of KUD Baščaršija, and with good fun, ten square meters were completed, for which 10,500 bottle caps were used.

The next workshops are expected immediately after the marking of the European Week for Waste Reduction, which lasts from November 21 to November 29, 2015.

Before the start of this project, the Green Art association organized a campaign to collect plastic bottle caps, and numerous schools, institutions, and citizens made their donations. Colorful bottle caps arrived from all sides, and the very creation of this Bosnian carpet from bottle caps, measuring 45 square meters, requires a lot of work, but Hrasnica is sure that with the help of volunteers, she will succeed in completing the project.

The entire project of the final creation of the unique carpet from bottle caps will be held at Unitic.
