Water levels of some rivers rising again due to rainfall and snowmelt

(Patria) - Due to moderate to heavy rainfall and rapid snowmelt, a significant rise in water levels was recorded this morning on most rivers in parts of northeastern, eastern, and central Bosnia.

In some sections, water has also overflowed its banks.

Currently, the most critical situation is along the Krivaja, Oskova, Bosna, and Spreča rivers. At most measuring stations, these rivers have reached the alert level or regular flood defense level.

The good news is that a gradual weakening of rainfall is expected this afternoon, with a complete cessation expected by the end of the day or during the evening in all regions.

During the night leading into Saturday (04/04), cloud cover will decrease from the west. Due to a clearer night, we can expect local frost on Saturday morning. However, tomorrow will bring stabilization, with predominantly sunny and warmer weather, and only a slight increase in cloud cover during the day.
