Hamas Leader Wrote to Minister Elmedin Konaković: Support Us and Show Solidarity

(Patria) - Hamas leader Ismail Haniya sent a letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković seven days ago, seeking help for Palestine. Minister Konaković has not informed the public about this letter.

“The (Al-Aqsa Flood) operation will continue until it achieves its goals, and the world must listen to the oppressed, remove the mask, and stop supporting this fascist and racist occupation. We call on the Arab and Islamic nations and all free people in the world to take immediate action and mobilize support and solidarity in all forms to protect the firm and historical Palestinian right. It is time for justice to prevail, for our people to enjoy freedom and return to their homes from which they were expelled, and for all forms of occupation, settlement, and aggression against peoples and holy sites to cease”; stated the letter dated October 11th of this year.

In the letter to Minister Konaković, the leader of Hamas, whose members committed a terrorist attack on October 7th, killing several hundred Israelis and taking hostages whom they then took to the Gaza Strip, after which Israeli retaliation on civilian targets followed, explains the history of the Palestinian struggle.

“Our Palestinian people have always strived for freedom, independence, and return, but since the occupation of Palestine in 1948, our people have faced serious violations and attacks by Zionist occupation leaders, their soldiers, and settlers. These violations have affected all aspects of Palestinian life: systematic displacement and killing, abductions and imprisonment, daily racist and continuous attacks, desecration of holy sites and rights to prayer, theft and usurpation of land and property, and the deliberate adoption of policies of siege and slow killing. In light of the rise of the fanatical Zionist right to power in the occupation government and its adoption of the “Conflict Resolution” strategy, the Palestinian cause has become an existential challenge, threatening its present and future, and our rights to our land, our homeland, and our holy sites, and above all the right to return and self-determination. Therefore; The Hamas movement has called on all parties to exert immediate pressure to stop these violations that have exceeded all rules of international law, most notably the crime of occupation itself and the deprivation of our people of the right to self-determination and return. However, this fascist regime has continued its crimes against our people and its holy sites. It has burned villages, confiscated thousands of dunams of Palestinian land to build new settlements, and committed massacres daily, raiding cities and refugee camps, demolishing houses on the heads of their inhabitants. What is most difficult for our people and our nation is the continuous desecration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, allowing extremist settlers to defile it and perform their “Talmudic prayers” there daily, expelling Muslim worshippers and attacking them, underestimating the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world, and developing plans to take final control of the mosque and divide it, divide it spatially and temporally, while their shoes have trampled the Holy Quran. In the courtyard of the mosque, our women were dragged and the elderly were beaten, in a manner unacceptable to any free and dignified person, and contrary to all values and customs, and international and humanitarian laws, which relate to the full right of Muslims to the mosque,” stated the Hamas letter.

The international community, it is further stated, has done nothing to stop the Israeli crimes.
