Chinese GP: Bottas and Hamilton to start from front row in 1000th F1 championship race

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Finnish Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas secured pole position this morning for the Chinese Grand Prix.

The Finn was 23 thousandths of a second faster than his teammate Lewis Hamilton, so the Mercedes duo will start from the front row in the 1000th Formula 1 race.

The Ferrari duo remained with a somewhat surprising deficit of three tenths of a second, so Sebastian Vettel will start from third and Charles Leclerc from fourth position.

From fifth to tenth starting positions, the drivers are Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg, Kevin Magnussen, and Romain Grosjean.

The Chinese Grand Prix race will be held on Sunday at 8:10 AM Central European Time.
