Wet roads, watch out for pedestrians

(Patria) - According to morning information gathered from road services across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the condition of most roads is generally satisfactory, with damp to wet roads and variable weather conditions.

Cloudy weather prevails, with fog in places (especially in the areas of Kladanj, Olovo, Živinice, Gradačac, Livno, Kupres, Mostar, and Čapljina). Roadways are being treated in some sections, while snow is locally present on the road (Greback–Trnovo route), as well as loose gravel on some road sections. Despite the above, traffic conditions are generally good, but increased caution is necessary.

We appeal to all drivers to be especially careful due to snow melting from roofs of buildings, as pedestrians are forced to move on the roadway in many places, which further increases the risk in traffic. Also, due to snowmelt, landslides are frequent, especially on cuttings and mountain sections. We remind drivers to adjust their speed to the road conditions, maintain the prescribed distance between vehicles, and obey traffic signals.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

At border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is proceeding with delays of up to 30 minutes.

Due to passenger registration under the new entry and exit system for European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays are possible at border crossings.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
