(Patria) - In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is currently on wet or dry road surfaces, while on sections in valleys and along river courses, we warn of reduced visibility due to fog. This weather also contributes to frequent rockfalls onto the road. We appeal to drivers to be as cautious as possible and to adjust their driving to the road conditions. We also ask other road users to respect all traffic regulations.
Due to necessary works on the A-1 highway section Visoko-Kakanj, the driving and emergency lanes are closed to traffic.
Due to works on the construction of a noise barrier on the A-1 highway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever, traffic is proceeding in the overtaking lane.
On the Srbac-Derventa main road, traffic is suspended due to works on laying the final asphalt layer, and vehicles are being redirected via Srbac-Prnjavor-Derventa.
Due to demining works on the Ustiprača-Goražde main road (at the quarry site), traffic is suspended for half an hour every working day between 09:00 and 15:00.
Landslide remediation is underway in Sijeračke stijene on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road, where traffic is suspended for up to 45 minutes between 08:00 and 17:00.
Works are also ongoing on the following sections: Semizovac-Olovo, Žepče–Maglaj, Zavidovići-Vozuća (in Krivaja), Klašnice-Banja Luka, Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Jablanica-Blidinje (Jablanica-Kosne Luke), Konjic-Jablanica (Ostrožac), Bileća-Trebinje (at the Žudojevići site), Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), Mostar-Čitluk (at the entrance to Čitluk), as well as at the entrance to Neum.
At border crossings, delays for passenger vehicles are short.
Due to the registration of passengers under the new European Union Entry/Exit System (EES), longer delays at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight is prohibited at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends, they can cross between 22:00 and 06:00).
We remind drivers that as of November 1st, winter equipment is mandatory on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
