Authorities in East Sarajevo intentionally creating traffic jams to divert tourists to Jahorina!

During the winter season, traffic jams in East Sarajevo are inevitable, and the reason for this is traffic lights, writes the Patria News Agency.

Because of this, citizens have reacted on social media, and tourists staying in Sarajevo who ski on Bjelašnica or Igman are dissatisfied with the kilometer-long queues.

- Returning from Igman today, I encountered a kilometer-long queue - it was about 4-5 km long. The reason - the green light at the traffic light in East Sarajevo for those of us going to Sarajevo lasts only 25 seconds. And then, for the next 75 seconds, it's a continuous green light for those going from the direction of Lukavica towards Foča. However, barely a few cars pass from that direction. Can anyone do anything about this - write a letter, or resolve it through higher instances? This really makes no sense – wrote one Sarajevan who also recorded the video.

Although the authorities in East Sarajevo are not commenting, citizens suspect that one of the reasons for this move is to deter some skiers-tourists from Bjelašnica and direct them towards Jahorina.
