Ruling majority lacks unity: Law favouring Dragan Čović's son-in-law rejected

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected today the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on the Agency for Air Navigation Services of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHANSA).

The proposed amendments, among other things, provided for an unlimited number of terms for the agency's management, headed by Davorin Primorac, the son-in-law of HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović, reports Faktor.

Previously, the competent Commission for Transport and Communications of the House of Representatives gave a negative opinion on this law, which was proposed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Edin Forto (Our Party), and subsequently adopted by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The commission's negative opinion was given thanks to the opposition of members from opposition parties.

The House of Representatives voted today on the negative opinion, which was adopted by both a general and entity majority of votes, and the proposed law is considered rejected.

In favour of the negative opinion, i.e. against this law, in addition to the opposition, representatives from SNSD also voted, while those from NiP abstained.

Against the negative opinion of the commission, i.e. in favour of the law, were representatives of HDZ, SDP and Our Party.

It is precisely SDP, NiP, Our Party, SNSD and HDZ that make up the ruling coalition at the state level, which was not united in this case either, just as they were not united within the parties of the Troika.
