ZDK Government: Decision on establishing Public Institution Protected Natural Areas adopted

(Patria) - The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, at its 100th session chaired by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, adopted the Proposal of the Decision on the establishment of the Public Institution Protected Natural Areas, as well as the Decision on the appointment of the president and members of the Assembly of the Public Enterprise "Televizija Zeničko-dobojskog kantona” d.o.o. Zenica, for a short period.

At the session, the Proposal of the Decision on determining the proposal of candidates for the president and members of the Supervisory Board of PE Televizija ZDK was also adopted, also for a short period.

– Now we have an appointed Assembly and Supervisory Board of Televizija ZDK. They will appoint the management structure. The next step is the appointment of the director and other management bodies. This is the first step for the management structure to be formed at all. The establishment of the Public Institution Protected Natural Areas of ZDK is to be adopted by the ZDK Assembly, after which other acts will follow that will mean the full realization of the establishment of this public institution.

The Prime Minister explained that the Government of ZDK, at today's session, also made a decision on the implementation of the KfW project, which will include six school buildings in the canton, and the total value of the project is around 8,000,000 KM.

– Most of these schools are located in the area of Zenica. We had to make this decision because the previous implementation of the project was not possible due to the increase in construction work costs in the last five years. Now we are harmonizing the new decision in cooperation with KfW. The project is extremely favorable because 50 percent of the funds come in the form of a grant. I am glad that we will thereby realize projects in schools where reconstruction is truly necessary. One of these schools is the central Zenica elementary school “Edhem Mulabdić” – said Pivić.

Within the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees, decisions were made to approve funds for local communities for co-financing projects in the total amount of 214,658 KM, and decisions to approve funds for individuals for co-financing treatment in the total amount of 28,976 KM.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, a decision was adopted to amend the Decision on adopting the Program for the expenditure of funds in 2025.

– This concerns subsidies for private companies and entrepreneurs from ESCROW funds, which have been increased from 800,000 to 1,040,000 KM. Also, at the proposal of the Ministry of Physical Planning, we made decisions on allocations for road infrastructure in two municipalities – Olovo (130,000 KM) and Breza (70,000 KM) – emphasized Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, the Public Investment Program of ZDK for the period 2026–2028 was adopted, which also includes projects intended for local communities in the canton.
