Government of ZDK: Continued support for health associations - decisions on fund allocation handed over

(Patria) - Minister of Health of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Aida Salčinović today handed over decisions on the allocation of funds to associations in the field of health that applied to the public call of the Ministry of Health published on July 16, 2025.

For this purpose, 100,000 KM was allocated from the ZDK Budget for 2025.

Associations that gather people suffering from various chronic and severe diseases had the right to participate in the call.

Based on the conducted procedure and the proposal of the Commission for Evaluation and Ranking of Projects, funds were allocated in individual amounts to the Association of Multiple Sclerosis Patients of ZDK, the Association of Citizens with Disabilities of Chronic Kidney Patients of ZDK, and the Association "Lotos" Zenica.



Given that the funds allocated by the public call were not fully utilized, the Ministry of Health has issued a new public call, in which citizens' associations in the field of health registered in the canton, dealing with the gathering and problems of patients with malignant diseases, diabetes, and other related topics, have the right to participate.

An exception is made for associations that have already exercised the right to funds under the earlier call from 2025.

- In this way, we want to support the noble work of health associations. Since this is the second time the Ministry has helped their work in this way, I can proudly say that we have created conditions to plan funds for these and similar purposes in the future, in order to concretely help our citizens who are fighting the most severe diseases - stated Minister Salčinović.
