Government of ZDK: Museum of the Third Corps - a place to remember, learn and connect

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Nezir Pivić and Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica met today with a delegation of the 2nd Infantry Regiment of the Armed Forces (AF) of BiH.

The AF BiH delegation was led by General Faruk Ganić, and the new commander of the "7th Muslim Brigade" barracks in Zenica and the 1st Infantry Battalion of the 5th Infantry Brigade of the AF BiH, Major Samir Husanović, was also present.



The topic of the meeting was the construction of the Museum of the Culture of Remembrance of the Third Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will have lasting value in preserving historical memory and the culture of remembrance of the struggle and sacrifice of members of the Army of RBiH.

It was emphasized that the barracks in Zenica is one of the most suitable locations for the construction of this facility, with an area of about 2,000 square meters, which will be spread over an area of about 5,500 square meters of outdoor space.

The museum should be an important place of gathering, education and shared memory for all generations.



The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs financed the development of the conceptual design, which was presented on this occasion by architect Sabina Hodžić, and Prime Minister Pivić emphasized the Government's readiness to finance the development of the main project as well, and later participate in financing the construction of the complex.
