ZDK Government Allocates 150,000 KM for Capital Projects of Religious Communities

(Patria) - At the premises of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Zenica-Doboj Canton, a contract signing ceremony was held for the transfer of funds from the budget line "Capital transfers to non-profit
organizations". At its session held on September 22, the Cantonal Government adopted a Decision approving funds in the total amount of 150,000 KM for co-financing capital projects of religious communities, i.e., projects for the construction, reconstruction and renovation of religious buildings and facilities that have the status of national monuments.

At the session held on September 22, 2025, the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton adopted a Decision approving funds in the total amount of 150,000 KM for co-financing capital projects of religious communities, i.e., the construction, reconstruction and renovation of religious buildings and facilities that have the status of national monuments.

In accordance with this decision, funds were allocated as follows: the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel Vareš was approved 10,000 KM for co-financing the project of replacing joinery on the parish church, which has the status of a national monument; the Parish of St. Barbara Breza was approved 10,000 KM for the installation of an ecologically and economically sustainable heating system; the Majlis of the Islamic Community Zenica was approved 50,000 KM for the adaptation of the large and small domes on the mosque in Novo Radakovo, as well as for the first phase of the construction of the mosque in Klopče; the Majlis of the Islamic Community Breza was approved
10,000 KM for the renovation of the lower part of the facade of the mosque in Breza; and the Tarikat Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina was approved 70,000 KM for activities and maintenance of tekkes in the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

With today's contract signing, the activities of the Government and the relevant ministry continue in creating conditions for the unhindered work and operation of religious communities active in the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

These activities were also welcomed by representatives of religious communities, expressing gratitude for the continuous support.
