(Patria) - The UK Government has warned its citizens against travelling to BiH on its official website. Specifically due to events at the Gradiška Border Crossing. This warning was issued despite the fact that a new Gradiška Border Crossing was temporarily opened three days ago. This happened on the same day that traffic was suspended at the existing border crossing, due to the collapse of part of the protective fence and pedestrian path on the bridge over the Sava River.
“The Gradiška border crossing has been temporarily relocated to the new bridge in Gradiška, following the partial collapse of the bridge at the previous location. Traffic congestion is expected to continue even after this change. Plan ahead for possible travel delays,” the UK Government’s website warning states.
Otherwise, according to information from the field and after the opening of the new Gradiška Border Crossing, the opposite of faster traffic flow has occurred. Namely, huge traffic jams are being recorded, especially at the entrance to BiH. Truck drivers are particularly desperate, facing blocked terminals.
